Wine Review: This ruby colored Malbec is a very nice and affordable option. It opens with a blackberry bouquet with hints of maraschino cherry, plum and black pepper. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and easy to drink. The flavor profile is a mild black cherry and blueberry blend with hints of plum, anise and a touch of oak. The finish is dry and its flavors are slightly prolonged. The panel suggested that this is a nice everyday Malbec and they would pair it with a Monte Cristo sandwich with a raspberry dipping sauce or Chinese food. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: In the glass the wine is clear, vibrant ruby red evolving to violet. On the nose, pleasant aromas of fresh blueberries and blackberries mingle with hints of leather and spice, forest floor, wet stone and rose petal. The palate notes medium acidity, as tannins join in sync with jammy plum, cherry and tobacco. A slight hint of oak creates a round mouth feel.
